Relaxation Therapy

What is Relaxation Therapy?

As we go through our daily lives we inevitably encounter situations that cause stress and anxiety.  With Relaxation Therapy you will develop the skills that will allow you to remain calm in the midst of those difficult times.  You will learn how dissolve those old patterns of response to stress that have developed over the years.

You may know that there is powerful evidence that stress can exacerbate or cause medical conditions such as high blood pressure, anxiety, insomnia, gastro-intestinal disorders, and pain.  There is equally powerful evidence that relaxation therapy can have a truly positive effect on your physical and mental health, reversing the impact of stress in your life.

Using simple breathing techniques, easy yoga poses that anyone can do, and the deep relaxation meditation you will discover how to integrate true relaxation into your everyday life.  You will be able to move beyond a merely temporary state of relaxation and learn how to approach life with a greater sense of peace and equanimity. Relaxation Therapy is based in the traditional practice of Yoga Nidra, the deep relaxation, guided meditation.  This is a practice that you can easily learn and do on your own.

Relaxation Therapy has been proven to work with:

  • eliminating anxiety
  • lowering blood pressure
  • calming the “type A” personality
  • reducing pain
  • relaxing gastro-intestinal distress
  • strengthening the immune system
  • healing relationships
  • improving concentration

  • and much more!
